Our clinic offers on site Mastitis Culture Diagnosis. This allows producers to get a quick answer as to what may be the cause of abnormal milk, mastitis, or a high somatic cell count (SCC). Dairy producers can collect a sample of milk in a sterile container, chill or freeze the sample and drop it off at the clinic. There will be preliminary results in 24 hours with final results in 48 hours, with a treatment recommendation. Our goal is to help producers make smart treatment decisions and not use unnecessary amounts of antibiotics. We can also help troubleshoot chronic mastitis cows and herd level staph aureus elimination programs.
